Follow this comprehensive guide to install MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and connect it to your FNmarkets trading account:
Go to https://app.fnmarketsglobal.com/ and click Sign Up to create your FNmarkets account by completing the registration form. Once you’ve successfully signed up, log in to your FNmarkets Client Dashboard using your registered email and password.
After logging in, the next step is to complete your KYC verification. Click on Complete Your Profile and follow the instructions to upload your identity document, proof of address, and complete the verification process.
Once your KYC is approved, go to Account Summary and click on Create Live Account. Select your preferred trading currency, account type (Standard, RAW, or Islamic), and click Create Account. Your newly created account will be visible on the dashboard, and you’ll receive an email with your login credentials.
Download the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform. From your client portal, click on Download Platform to begin the download process. Leave this tab open until the download is complete.
Once the file is downloaded, locate the setup file (typically named
setup.exe) and double-click it to begin installation. Follow the on-screen prompts, accept the license agreement, and click Finish once the installation completes. MT5 will launch automatically.
When MT5 opens, the Login dialog box will appear. From the server list, make sure to select FNmarkets-Live, then click Next.
Now, enter your login credentials—these were sent to your email when you created your live trading account. In the section labeled Connect with an existing trade account, enter your login and password, then click Next. MT5 will verify your information and connect your trading account.
Once successfully logged in, you’ll see your account details such as your account number, balance, and active charts in the Terminal window. You are now fully connected and ready to begin placing trades.
