Why are there gaps in my chart? How do I fix the gaps?

Updated over 3 months ago

Gaps on the platform can occur for several reasons:

• The product did not trade during a specific period, often due to public holidays or trading pauses.
• Interruptions in the price feed from the broker’s side.
• Data was not loaded onto the platform or was removed.
• Gaps caused by the product itself (rather than trading activity) cannot be filled.
• Gaps resulting from a price feed interruption are typically resolved by the broker.

To fix gaps in the chart caused by data not loading, there are a few solutions:

1. Right-click on the chart and select 'Refresh.'
2. Download and load the necessary data into the chart.
3. Click 'Tools' > 'History Center,' locate the symbol and period, and click 'Download.'

If data was received from a third party, it can be imported into the platform by following these steps:

• Open the platform, click 'File' in the main toolbar, and select 'Open Data Folder.'
• In the new panel, open the 'History' folder, select the correct server, and delete the relevant files to trigger a data rebuild.
